What happened:
Hannah Wampler slugged 6 for 6 with two doubles, two RBIs, and five runs scored and the Bears (22-2) blew past the Ravens in the second round of the Washington 4A state tournament. Auburn could not stop the Bears offensive push late in the game. The first four batters in the sixth inning reached base and scored, and fourteen went to the plate in the seventh with ten runs scored. Kelsey Gumm had five hits with a double and two homers, with five RBIs and four runs scored. Grace Stumbough had two doubles and scored three runs. The Bears will play in the winners bracket semifinal at 10 a.m. on Saturday against Monroe.
