Roundup: Mead claims state tournament berth

SR Story | The Mead girls soccer team won its third straight game on Saturday, edging Chiawana 2-1 in a 4A regional game in Kennewick. The win gave the Panthers (15-3) the second and final seed to the state tournament, which starts Monday.

SR Story | Patience finally paid off Wednesday night for the Central Valley girls soccer team. Delayed for one day by the weather and for 70 minutes by the Chiawana defense, the host Bears finally broke through for a dominating 3-1 win in their 4A regional championship match.
