A day after a disappointing loss to St. George’s, the defending state 2B champion Colfax Bulldogs got back on track.
Brandon Gfeller made 7 of 12 3-pointers and finished with 32 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists as Colfax beat Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 57-48 in a nonleague game Saturday at Colfax.
Gfeller scored 14 points in the decisive third quarter. The Bulldogs (3-2) outscored the Eagles 18-7 in the third and led by 14 heading into the fourth.
Connor Moffat scored 17 points and Coleton Collins 13 for Lakeside (1-2).
Lake City 66, Hanford 53: Kyle Guice made 11 of 19 shots and finished with 25 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks as the Timberwolves (3-2) beat the visiting Falcons. Drew Hocking added 11 points and Justin Prater handed out six assists for Lake City, which led 60-35 heading into the fourth.
Post Falls 59, Chiawana 43: Dalton Thompson scored 16 points as the Trojans (3-2) regained control in the second half and beat visiting Chiawana. Tim Mueller added 11 points for Post Falls, which outscored Chiawana by 13 points after halftime.
Coeur d’Alene 84, Kennewick 60: Tony Nacarrato led a balanced attack with 15 points and Alajah Tripp added 10 as the Vikings (2-0) topped the host Lions. Coeur d’Alene outscored Kennewick 48-33 in the second half to put the game out of reach.
Deer Park 60, Priest River 49: Reece Ferguson scored 15 points and Travis Pierce added 12 points and 17 rebounds as the Stags (2-3) jumped ahead early and held on to beat the visiting Spartans (2-3). Caleb Guske added 12 points for Deer Park, which outscored Priest River 22-8 in the first quarter. Cameron Riley and Cole Stelow scored 16 points apiece for the Spartans.
Pullman 69, Southwest Metro 34: Corey Langerveld scored 16 points and the Greyhounds (3-1) routed visiting Southwest Metro. Pullman raced out to a 32-11 halftime lead.
Clarkston 53, Pendleton 46: Kage Sobotta made seven 3s – six in the second half – and finished with 21 points to lead the Bantams (3-0) past Pendleton (Ore.) in the Pendleton Classic title game.
Bonners Ferry 49, Newport 26: Ryan Ferrens scored 12 points and the Badgers (3-2) beat the host Grizzlies (1-2). Bonners Ferry won the rebounding battle 39-25.
Northwest Christian 72, Chewelah 60: The Crusaders (3-0) gained an early advantage and held on to defeat the host Cougars (1-2). Derek Smith had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Lars Berger 10 points and eight boards for Chewelah.
Okanogan 62, Colville 56: Justin Rivas scored 26 points and Quentin Oliver added 23 as the Bulldogs pulled away in the fourth quarter and beat the host Indians (2-2). Matt Hubbard led Colville with 23 points and 18 rebounds.
Tonasket 62, Kettle Falls 47: The Tigers gained an early lead and held on to beat the visiting Bulldogs (4-1). Four Tonasket players reached double figures in scoring. Conner McKern scored a game-high 19 points for Kettle Falls.
St. George’s 64, Wellpinit 52: Eric Muelheims had 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists and Will Tender added 16 points, eight rebounds and five steals as the Dragons (5-0) took control late and beat the host Redskins (2-1). Dexter Sienko added 11 points and 11 rebounds for St. George’s.
Wilbur-Creston 51, Waterville 48: Nick Densley scored a career-high 14 points and Colton Magers added 12 points and 10 rebounds as the Wildcats (2-2) beat visiting Waterville. Garet Townsend added 11 points for Wilbur-Creston.
Davenport 60, Odessa-Harrington 52: Shane Hopkins scored 16 points and Josh Likkel and Conner VanPevenage added 14 apiece as the Gorillas (5-0) topped the visiting Tigers (3-1). Davenport made nine 3-pointers, including six in the second half.
Brewster 55, Almira/Coulee-Hartline 42: Easton Driesson scored 18 points and the Bears beat the host Warriors (3-2). Thunder Wellhausen and Mitch Hunt scored 10 points apiece for ACH.
Lakeside (ID) 70, Timberline 44: Laighton Boyd scored 12 points, Joe Brown added 10 and Joseph Mitchell had eight points, seven blocks and seven rebounds as the Knights (1-3) routed Timberline in Plummer. Lakeside exploded for 30 second-quarter points and led by 17 at the half.
Pomeroy 45, Dayton 35: Cody LaMunyan scored 14 points and Riley Bott added 10 as the Pirates (3-0) beat host Dayton.
Wallace 58, Kootenai 26: Gaven Rassmussen scored 16 points and Brock Arthun added 11 as the Miners (4-1) topped the visiting Warriors (1-1). Jake Dellinger added 10 points for Wallace, which led by 19 points at halftime.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 65, Reardan 37: Dylan Hartz scored 18 points and the Broncos (2-0, 1-0) raced past the host Indians (1-4, 0-1).

Republic 62, Northport 48: Aaron Fritts led three players in double figures with 12 points and the Tigers (3-1, 1-0) topped the visiting Mustangs (2-3, 0-2). Saxon Brown added 11 points and Prestin Hooper chipped in 10 for Republic. Jeremiah Johnson and Dutch Burke scored 13 points apiece for Northport.
Cusick 74, Columbia 20: Sophomore Jes Brazda had 18 points and 10 rebounds off the bench as the Panthers (3-0, 2-0) dumped the visiting Lions (0-3, 0-1). Tyson Shanholtzer added 12 points for Cusick.
Selkirk 64, Inchelium 32: Avery Miller scored 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Rangers (3-1, 2-0) past the visiting Hornets (0-3, 0-2). Dominic Cain added 15 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and five steals for Selkirk.
LaCrosse-Washtucna 58, Liberty Christian 28: Jed Zimmer scored 19 points and Darcy Stamper added 17 – 10 coming in the Tigercats’ dominating first quarter – and LaCrosse-Washtucna (3-0, 2-0) routed the visiting Patriots (0-1, 0-1).
Garfield-Palouse 79, St. John-Endicott 57: Matt Holbrook scored 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting and the Vikings (4-1, 1-0) beat the visiting Eagles (0-3, 0-2). Freshman point guard Jesse Lopez added 13 points and five rebounds for Garfield-Palouse. The Vikings caught fire in the second half. They made all 11 of their shots from the field in the fourth quarter.
Colton 57, Touchet 48: Jake Straughan and Dalton Patchen scored 21 points apiece as the Wildcats (1-1, 1-0) beat the host Indians (0-2, 0-2). Edgar Rincon scored 15 points for the Indians.
