Hannah Caudill hit four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points as the Gonzaga Prep girls basketball team dominated in the first half and eased past West Seattle 65-29 at The Fitz tournament Friday night at Gonzaga Prep.
The Bullpups (2-0) outscored the Wildcats 20-2 in the opening quarter and led by 29 at the half.
Otiona Gildon added 10 points and seven rebounds for Gonzaga Prep.
In another tournament game, Bendu Yeaney scored 16 points and Martina McGowan added 12 as St. Mary’s of Portland rolled past Mead 56-34.
Sue Winger scored a team-high eight points for Mead (0-2), which couldn’t recover after falling behind 20-3 in the first quarter.
St. Mary’s will meet Gonzaga Prep this morning at 10 and Mead will take on West Seattle at 5:30 p.m.
Both games will be played at Lewis and Clark High School.
