Rachel Bozlee scored 15 points and Northwest Christian held on in overtime to beat Colfax 54-52 in the District 7 2B title game Saturday night at Mt. Spokane High School.
Colfax’s Kori Goodwin nailed a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from the corner to send the game into overtime.
Chanel Knight added 11 points and Treasure Farmer chipped in eight points and 14 rebounds for the Crusaders (23-0), who claimed the top seed to the subregional tournament.
Scout Cai had 18 points and Amara Huber added 10 for the Bulldogs (17-6), who earned the second seed.
Davenport 52, St. George’s 42: Natalie Hayes scored 16 points and Allison Johnson added 14 as the Gorillas (13-11) secured the third seed to subregionals with a win over the Dragons (12-12) at Mt. Spokane. Davenport outscored St. George’s by 10 points in the second half. The Dragons’ Hailey Higashi and Ceci Berquist combined for 29 points. St. George’s claimed the fourth seed.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 57, Springdale 37: Mallory Kessler scored 10 points and the Broncos (14-9) claimed the fifth and final seed to subregionals with a win over the Chargers (4-20) at Mt. Spokane. After building a 24-12 halftime lead, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague put the game away with a 16-7 third-quarter run. Eilish Smith tallied 10 points for Springdale, which was eliminated.
Colville 48, Pullman 31: Jessi Wittmeyer scored 12 points and Sadie Learn added 11 as the Indians (14-4, 8-3) used a dominating third-quarter effort to get past the visiting Greyhounds (7-12, 3-8). Colville led by five at the half and extended it to 20 by outscoring Pullman 21-6 in the third. The Greyhounds got 10 points from Anna Mari Petrino.
Idaho 2A District I-II
St. Maries 45, Coeur d’Alene Charter 31: Kelsey Auer scored led a balanced attack with 11 points and the Lumberjacks built a 10-point first-half lead en route to a win over the Panthers in Troy. Coeur d’Alene Charter’s Mae Alexander scored 14 points. Both teams play again on Monday night, with St. Maries meeting Grangeville at 6 p.m. and Coeur d’Alene Charter playing Orofino in a loser-out game at 7:30. Both will be played in Troy.
Tekoa-Oakesdale 54, Rosalia 47: Kim Groom scored 16 points and Olivia Pakootas added 13 as the Nighthawks (16-3, 13-2) pulled away in the third quarter and beat the host Spartans (9-10, 6-9). Rosalia’s Stacey Carrothers and Alex Naught scored 12 points apiece.
Colton 77, Pomeroy 33: Jenna Moser scored 30 points and the Wildcats (20-0, 16-0) dominated from the outset in a win over the host Pirates (9-5, 9-5). Colton outscored Pomeroy 25-1 in the first quarter and led 51-13 at halftime. Jacki Warner chipped in 14 points for the Wildcats. Pomeroy’s Mackenzie Monahan scored nine.
St. John-Endicott 59, LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus 28: Emily Jones scored 14 points and the Eagles (12-7, 9-5) raced out to an early lead and coasted past the Tigercats (1-18, 0-16) in LaCrosse. LWK’s Kadie Whinery tallied a team-high 10 points.
