Justin Carpenter scored 16 points and Coeur d’Alene survived Post Falls’ late rally and beat the Trojans 44-41 in an Inland Empre League 5A game Tuesday night in Post Falls.
Ryan Walde added 10 points, five assists and three steals for the Vikings (9-1, 2-0).
Coeur d’Alene jumped ahead by eight points at the half. Post Falls chipped into the lead in the final two quarters, but couldn’t complete the comeback.
Corey Koski scored a team-high nine points for the Trojans (7-5, 0-1).

Moscow 69, Lakeland 54: Jack Akey scored 11 of his team-high 19 points in the decisive third quarter and the Bears (3-6, 1-0) topped the visiting Hawks (6-5, 0-1). Adam Gresch added 18 points for Moscow, which outscored Lakeland 23-16 in the third to take a 19-point lead into the final quarter. Lakeland’s Tyrel Derrick led all scorers with 20 points. He also dished out six assists.
West Valley 67, Cheney 46: Jake Love scored 24 points and pulled down seven rebounds as the Eagles (9-2, 2-1) used a strong defensive performance to defeat the visiting Blackhawks (1-9, 0-4). After a competitive first quarter, West Valley limited Cheney to one field goal in the second quarter. The Eagles extended their lead in the third quarter and the rout was on. Cheney’s Alex Berman and Brett Wyborney combined for 23 points.
Pullman 77, Deer Park 51: Race Martin scored 19 points and David Ungerer added 15 as the Greyhounds (9-1, 3-0) pulled away after a tight first quarter and beat the host Stags (5-7, 1-3). Pullman outscored Deer Park 26-16 in the second quarter to take an 11-point lead into halftime. Avery Miller led three Stags players in double figures with 16 points.
Lakeside 62, Freeman 45: The Eagles (10-3, 5-0) iced the game from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter and kept its unblemished league record intact with a win over the host Scotties (5-6, 3-2). Cameron Gay scored a game-high 16 points for Lakeside, which led by 13 points at the half. Freeman cut the deficit to three points in the third quarter, but the Scotties hit 11 of 12 free throws in the fourth to regain control and seal the win. Jacob Phipps scored 13 points and Ryan Maine added 10 for the Scotties.
Riverside 93, Kettle Falls 62: Andrew Kramer scored 25 points and Dalton Rausch added 22 points and 15 rebounds as the hot-shooting Rams (11-2, 4-1) had their offense rolling in an easy win over the host Bulldogs (5-6, 0-5). Tyler Axtell added 15 points for Riverside, which built an 18-point lead at the half. Kettle Falls’ Connor McKern and Cole Wren scored 14 points apiece.
Medical Lake 58, Chewelah 51: Tellas Johnson erupted for 32 points and the Cardinals (5-8, 3-3) overcame an early deficit to defeat the host Cougars (4-9, 1-4). Medical Lake trailed by nine points at halftime, but went on a 13-2 third-quarter run to get back into it. The Cardinals made all 10 of their fourth-quarter free throws to hold off the Cougars. Chewelah’s Mason Miller tallied a team-high 19 points.
St. George’s 58, Colfax 42: In an otherwise evenly-played game, the Dragons used a 17-7 third-quarter run to take control and St. George’s (15-0, 9-0) went on to beat the visiting Bulldogs (7-7, 5-4). Dexter Sienko scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Corey Spalding and Erik Muelheims each chipped in 12 points for St. George’s, which took advantage of 18 Colfax turnovers. The Bulldogs were led by Brent Becker’s 20 points.
Liberty 55, Reardan 35: Clay Fleming scored 21 points and the Lancers (13-3, 7-3) scored 22 points off turnovers in a win over the visiting Indians (4-11, 0-9). Reardan’s Joey McMurray scored 10 points.
Northwest Christian 61, Springdale 36: The Crusaders (10-5, 5-4) capitalized on 21 Chargers turnovers and cruised to the win in Springdale. Ryan Ricks scored 17 points and David Olds added 16 for Northwest Christian. Callan Ward and Jordan Cloud combined for 21 points for Springdale (3-12, 2-7), which made just 1 of 12 free throws.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 62, Davenport 39: Tyler Frederick led three Broncos in double figures with 12 points and Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (11-1, 7-1) defeated the host Gorillas (4-11, 1-8). LRS’ Connor O’Neill added 11 points and Dylan Hartz chipped in 10. Davenport was led by Wyatt Evers’ 10 points.
Wallace 62, Kootenai 45: Brock Arthun scored 23 points and Gavin Rasmussen added 17 as the Miners (4-2, 2-1) jumped ahead early and went on to beat the Warriors (1-4, 0-2) in Harrison. Kootenai’s Anthony Ausman had 12 points and nine rebounds, but the Warriors couldn’t recover after falling behind by nine points in the first quarter.

Odessa-Harrington 45, Almira/Coulee-Hartline 31: Jacob DeWulf scored 20 points and secured 11 rebounds and the Titans (7-6, 1-1) opened on a 17-4 run and cruised past the Warriors (3-10, 1-3) in Odessa. Carsen Weber added 15 points for Odessa-Harrington. Dallas Isaak tallied a team-high 12 points for ACH.
Pomeroy 63, LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus 42: Cody LaMunyan scored 17 points and Riley Bott added 13 as the Pirates (11-1, 7-1) took control in the second half and beat the Tigercats (2-6, 1-5) in Washtucna. Darcy Stamper led LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus with 19 points.
• Due to a leaky roof, Rosalia’s game at Tekoa-Oakesdale was postponed until tonight.
Timberlake 76, Newport 74 (OT): Bryce Johnson hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 10 seconds left in overtime to lift the Tigers (4-8) past the visiting Grizzlies (6-7). Timberlake’s Dalton Jones sent the game into overtime with a game-tying free throw with 7 seconds left in regulation.
Sandpoint 62, Kellogg 58: Jeremiah Gagnon made all 10 of his free-throw attempts and finished with 24 points as the Bulldogs (7-5) edged the visiting Wildcats (5-4).
Bonners Ferry 54, Coeur d’Alene Charter 30: The Badgers (2-6) used a full-court press in the first half to open up a big lead on their way to a win over the visiting Panthers. Cameron Woods led Bonners Ferry with 10 points.
Selkirk 55, Clark Fork 41: Shawn Mailly led three players in double figures with 14 points and the Rangers (6-8) used a 17-4 second-quarter run to get past the visiting Wampus Cats.
