Volleyball roundup: Ashley Reyes and Lake City head to state after defeating Post Falls

Lake City 3, Post Falls 0: Ashley Reyes dug out 12 digs with a pair of service aces and Lake City (8-0) beat visiting Post Falls (3-5) in three sets (25-15, 25-20, 25-22) in the 5A District 1-2 Championship match on Tuesday. Klaire Mitchell recorded 27 assists and three blocks for the Timberwolves. Lake City advances to the Idaho 5A state tournament.

Coeur d’Alene 3, Lewiston 0: Emily Klader scored 14 kills and visiting Coeur d’Alene (2-5) defeated Lewiston (3-4) in three sets (25-21, 25-18, 25-11) on Tuesday in an Idaho 5A District 1-2 consolation match.

Couer d’Alene face Post Falls in the second place game to earn a play-in game for the right to head to state.

University 3, Shadle Park 0: Rachael Schlect tallied 24 kills, 14 digs and four aces and visiting University (6-1) defeated Shadle Park (2-6) in straight sets (25-15, 25-14, 25-13).

Lewis and Clark 3, Central Valley 2: Amanda Reed had 21 kills with five blocks and visiting Lewis and Clark (3-5) edged Central Valley (5-3) in five sets (25-27, 25-23, 13-25, 25-17, 15-12). Elizabeth Stoa added 40 assists for the Tigers.

Mead 3, Gonzaga Prep 0: Lindsey Russell dished out 40 assists and visiting Mead (8-0) defeated Gonzaga Prep (6-1) in straight sets (25-19, 25-10, 25-23). Maddie Lee added 14 kills with two aces for the Panthers.

Mt. Spokane 3, Ferris 0: Malina Ama had 15 kills with nine digs and Mt. Spokane (9-3) swept visiting Ferris (5-5) in straight sets (25-22, 25-21, 25-22) in.

St. Maries 3, Orofino 1 (Game one): Dakotah Wilks tallied 38 assists, nine digs, three aces, and a pair of blocks and St. Maries (3-1) beat Orofino (2-2) in four sets (20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-18) in a Central Idaho League Districts match on Tuesday. With the win, St. Maries forced a second match against Orofino.

St. Maries 3, Orofino 0 (Game two): Kaylee Auer tallied 11 kills with a pair of service aces and St. Maries (4-1) swept Orofino (2-2) in straight sets (25-23, 25-19, 25-19) to win the Central Idaho League District Title on Tuesday. St. Maries advances to the 2A State Tournament in Lakeland.
