Boys basketball: East Valley, West Valley boys win Border Clash contests

Tyrell Brown scored 26 points to lead East Valley (1-2) to a 54-48 overtime victory over Lake City (0-2) in the Border Clash at West Valley High School.

In the other Boder Clash contest, Bryan Andrews scored 38 points with nine 3-pointers as West Valley (2-0) topped Lakeland (1-1) 69-59.

Nonleague

Colfax 58, Oakesdale 32: Carson Cloaninger scored 26 points and the Bulldogs (2-0) defeated the visiting Nighthawks (0-1).

Lakeside (ID) 58, Garfield-Palouse 50: Talon Twoteeth scored 17 points and the visiting Knights (1-0) topped the Vikings (0-2).

Valley Christian 54, Springdale 51: Sam Reese scored 19 points and the visiting Panthers (2-0) defeated the Chargers (0-2). Braden Parker led Springdale with 21 points.

Okanogan 76, Medical Lake 68: Martin Grooms scored 20 points and the Bulldogs (1-0) defeated the visiting Cardinals (1-1).

St. Maries 53, Prairie 50: Jackson Pritchard and Coy Sands made late 3-pointers to send the game into overtime and the Lumberjacks (2-0) beat the visiting Pirates (0-1).

Bonners Ferry 70, Cusick 67: Seth Bateman scored 25 points and the Badgers (1-1) beat the visiting Panthers (0-1).

Freeman 56, Clarkston 40: Dylan Oja scored 18 points and the visiting Scotties (2-0) defeated the Bantams (0-1).

Lakeside (WA) 70, Liberty 67: Tristan Cox scored 22 points and the visiting Eagles (1-1) defeated the Lancers (0-2).

Deer Park 79, Priest River 39: Dawson Youngblood scored 21 points and the visiting Stags defeated the Spartans in a nonleague match.

Kittitas 71, Reardan 54: Gonzaga commit Brock Ravet poured in 33 points and the Coyotes defeated the Indians.

Chewelah 69, Selkirk 43: Jake George led a balanced attack with 13 points and the Cougars (1-1) pulled away in the second half to down the visiting Rangers (0-2).
