Prep softball: Julia Andrews’ walk-off in extras gives Central Valley win over University

Julia Andrews hit a walk-off single in the eighth inning and Central Valley (2-1) beat visiting University (2-1) 14-13 on Friday in a Greater Spokane League game. Makayla Marshall hit a home run in the top of the seventh to tie the game.

Ferris 5, Gonzaga Prep 3: Katelyn Struass had a home run, walked twice and earned the save and the visiting Saxons (2-1) beat the Bullpups (2-2). Maddi Murphy went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs for Gonzaga Prep.

Lewis and Clark 7, Mead 5: Kylie Pester went 3 for 4 with a home run and the visiting Tigers (1-2) beat the Panthers (1-2).

Shadle Park 17, North Central 1: Megan Lohr gave up two hits and one run over five innings and the visiting Highlanders (3-0) defeated the Indians (0-3) . Brooklyn Brunette added two hits with three RBI’s for Shadle Park.

Mt. Spokane 19, Rogers 2: Morgan Flesland struck out four while walking none and went 4 for 5 with a homer and two RBIs and the visiting Wildcats (3-0) defeated the Pirates (0-3). Angie Blystone went 2 for 3 for Rogers.

Great Northern League

Cheney 8, East Valley 3: Parker Cagle had two hits with two RBIs and the visiting Blackhawks (1-2) defeated the Knights (0-1). Shaelen Thomspon went 2 for 3 with a double for East Valley.

Northeast 2B

Northest Christian 5, Chewelah 3: Faith Iverson went 2 for 3 with a home run and the Crusaders (3-0) beat the visiting Cougars (2-1) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Northest Christian 12, Chewelah 7: Ellie Sander went 4 for 4 with four RBIs and the Crusaders (4-0) swept the visiting Cougars (2-2) in the second game of a doubleheader.

Idaho

Timberlake 32, Bonners Ferry 0: Ashley Mallet had three hits, a double, triple and home run, and the visiting Tigers (3-1) beat the Badgers. Becca Malloy pitched a two-hit shutout for Timberlake.

Timberlake 34, Bonners Ferry 4: Bernie Carhart had four hits with five RBIs and six runs and the visiting Tigers (4-1) defeated the Badgers.
