PASCO – Allie Janke won the 3,200-meter race and the North Central girls finished fourth out of 54 teams with 31 points at the 58th annual Pasco Invitational at Edgar Brown Stadium on Saturday.
Janke, who finished in 10 minutes, 20.60 seconds, easily defeated runner-up Alexis Kebbe of Jesuit, who ran 10:59.82.
NC’s Erinn Hill took second in the girls 1,600, finishing about 3 seconds behind in 5:01.73.
Coeur d’Alene’s Nate Burch won the boys 110 hurdles in 14.47. Burch repeated as champion, finishing .19 seconds quicker than last year.
CdA’s Emily Bronson won girls discus with a toss of 134 feet, 8 inches.
Central Valley was the highest-placing local boys team, finishing sixth with 27 points. Eighth-place Mt. Spokane scored 22 points, and ninth-place Lewis and Clark scored 20.86.
CV’s Bradley Fillis placed second in the shot put at 53-8. Patrick Utschinski of Walla Walla won at 59-4.
Post Falls’ Tyler Trengove won the high jump, clearing 6-4. CV’s Ryan Volmer placed third at 6-1.
Mt. Spokane’s Spencer Barrera won the long jump at 22-1 3/4, topping the field by almost 3 inches, and placed third in the 400 at 49.95.
Lewis and Clark’s Wil Smith won the boys 3,200 in 9:18.47. Kamiakin’s Ryan Child (9:19.79) took second.
Mead’s Hutchinson sisters dominated the shot put. First-place Jordynn threw 40-10 3/4, and Emily was runner-up at 40-5.
