Mt. Spokane 10 at Shadle Park 3: Payton Dressler had a homer, a double, four RBIs and three runs and the visiting Wildcats (5-0) beat the Highlanders (4-1) on Thursday night in a battle for first place in the Greater Spokane League. Morgan Flesland had 10 strikeouts and two RBIs for Mt. Spokane, the lone remaining unbeaten team in GSL.
Central Valley 7, Gonzaga Prep 4: Julia Andrews’ fourth-inning grand slam boosted the visiting Bears (5-1) to a win over the Bullpups (2-4) on Thursday. Julia Wright went 2 for 2 with a run scored for Gonzaga Prep.
University 13, Ferris 6: Alyssa Benthagen went 3 for 5 with three RBIs and the visiting Titans (5-1) beat the Saxons (2-4) on Thursday. Ainsley Rell added a home run for University.
Lewis and Clark 25, North Central 2: Kylee Pester hit a grand slam, finished with six RBIs and threw a complete game with 14 strikeouts and the Tigers (2-4) beat the visiting Indians (0-3) at Hart Field. Jasmine Ereaux went 2 for 3 with six RBIs for Lewis and Clark.
Mead 16, Rogers 3: Destiny Scott had two hits, scored twice and drove in two runs to lead a balanced attack as the visiting Panthers (3-3) defeated the Pirates (0-5) on Thursday. Gabrielle Rickman homered and drove in two runs for Rogers.
Great Northern League
Post Falls 14, Cheney 3: Bubba Gleaves, Alyssa Krause and Emma Aldrich each had three RBIs and the visiting Trojans (6-4) beat the Blackhawks (6-6) in a nonleague game. Krause had a triple, home run and three runs and Dinah Seymour was 2 for 2 with a homer, two RBIs and and two runs for Post Falls.
Colville 3, Deer Park 1: Ambrie Jones struck out 11 and the Indians (5-0) downed the visiting Stags (3-2) in the first game of a doubleheader on Thursday. Hallie Cox had two hits for Colville.
Deer Park 11, Colville 5: Lily Pierce homered and the Stags (4-2) topped the visiting Indians (5-1) in the second game of a doubleheader on Thursday. Courtney Butler added three hits for Deer Park.
Lakeside 4, Freeman 3: Olivia Charbonneau went 4 for 4 with an RBI and the visiting Eagles (5-0) beat the Scotties (2-3) in the first game of a doubleheader.
Lakeside 16, Freeman 3: Brie Frazier went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and the visiting Eagles (6-0) swept the Scotties (2-4). Hannah Brock homered for Freeman.
Medical Lake 16, Riverside 1: Kaylee Thompson went 2 for 3 with two runs and three RBIs and the Cardinals (2-4) beat the visiting Rams (1-4) on Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader. Hailee Deshazer allowed one hit in a three-inning complete game.
Medical Lake 16, Riverside 8: Kaylee Thompson went 1 for 2 with three runs and four RBIs, including a two-run home run, and the Cardinals (3-4) swept the visiting Rams (1-5). Suzanne Shores went 3 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs for Medical Lake.
Inchelium 13, Northport 2: Rylee Desautel and Amaya Simpson drove in four runs apiece and the Hornets (1-2) bested the visiting Mustangs (5-1) in the first game of a doubleheader. Meika Heath struck out nine for Inchelium.
Inchelium 16, Northport 5: Meika Heath doubled twice, tripled and singled to drive in three runs and the Hornets (2-2) swept the visiting Mustangs (5-2). Amaya Simpson added three hits and four RBIs for Inchelium.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 10, Wilbur-Creston 0: Sarah Bradshaw threw a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and the Warriors (11-0) beat the visiting Wildcats (0-7) in the first game of a doubleheader. Makenna Oliver had a double, a triple and three RBIs for ACH.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 12, Wilbur-Creston 2: Sam Cook went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and the Warriors (12-0) swept the visiting Wildcats (0-8).
Colton 17, Orofino 5: Abby Kelly and Lydia Smith drove in four runs apiece and the Wildcats (3-1) topped the visiting Maniacs (3-3) in the first game of a doubleheader.
Colton 10, Orofino 0: Josie Schultheis tossed a no-hitter, striking out 11, and had three hits and the Wildcats (4-1) swept the visiting Maniacs (3-4).
