Girls basketball: Mayson Younger scores 20 points to lead Ferris past Kent-Meridian

Mayson Younger scored 20 points to lead Ferris (5-7) over visiting Kent-Meridian (2-10) 57-42 in a nonleague game on Saturday. Kacey Spink added 11 points for the Saxons.

Cashmere 62, Medical Lake 44: Hailey Vanlith scored 42 points and the visiting Bulldogs (11-2) defeated the Cardinals (6-5). Jessie Lohman led Medical Lake with 16 points.

Colfax 57, Northwest Christian 53: Skylre Sakamoto-Howell scored 18 points and the Bulldogs (6-6, 3-1) edged the visiting Crusaders (9-2, 3-1). Jordan Rabe led Northwest Christian with 16 points.

Valley Christian 44, Northport 39: Phoebe Trigsted scored 34 points and the visiting Panthers (8-2) downed the Mustangs (6-6).

West Valley 56, Sandpoint 45: Hailey Marlow scored 12 points and the visiting Eagles (8-4) defeated the Bulldogs (2-10).

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 65, Selkirk 35: Sarah Bradshaw scored 17 points and the visiting Warriors (9-0) defeated the Rangers (5-7). Bree Dawson led Selkirk with 14 points.

Curlew 62, Columbia 15: Korin Baker scored 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and the Cougars (6-3) defeated the visiting Lions (1-8). Lexi Nelson led Columbia with 12 points.

Connell 62, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 55: Madison Smith scored 25 points and the Eagles (9-3) defeated the Broncos (3-7). Dakota Killian and Lacey Miller led Lind-Ritzville/Sprague with 14 points each.

Colville 66, Newport 41: Mckenna Reggear scored 15 points and the Indians (7-6, 3-2) defeated the visiting Grizzlies (1-10, 0-4). McKinley Leslie led Newport with 12 points.
