What happened: Kaleigh Bussiere reached on an error that plated the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Mt. Spokane a 7-6 victory over visiting Lewis and Clark a Greater Spokane League slowpitch softball semifinal on Monday.

LC led 5-4 entering the bottom of the seventh, but Mt. Spokane's Madilyn Odiorne hit a one-out sacrifice fly to tie the score and send the game into extra innings.

Chloe Olson gave Lewis and Clark a 6-5 lead in the top of the eighth with an RBI single. Mt. Spokane opened the bottom of the inning with three straight hits before Payton Dressler tied it with with an RBI single. After a walk, Bussiere delivered the game winner.

Mt. Spokane faces University on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the championship game, with both qualifying for state. Lewis and Clark faces Central Valley in a winner to state, loser out game.
